Julie Chéné Nyheim MW became a member of the exclusive club of 369 Masters of Wine in the world on September 4 this year. Julie is now one of 5 Masters of Wine in Norway, and also the other French female MW in the world. Master of Wine (MW) is the most recognized title you can achieve within the world of wine.

Varieties of grapes used in winemaking

There are over 10,000 different varieties of grapes used in winemaking. Here is a list of the most common. We share the grapes into the green, which is used in the production of white wines, and blue grapes, which are used in the production of red wines.

American Whiskey

Bourbon is perhaps the most famous type of American whiskey and got its name from the county in Kentucky where it was first produced. Today bourbon can be produced anywhere. Several of the most prevalent types are so-called straight whiskeys, that is, it must consist of 51 to 80 percent of a specific type of grain and must be stored in new charred oak barrels for at least two years.
