Bourbon is perhaps the most famous type of American whiskey and got its name from the county in Kentucky where it was first produced. Today bourbon can be produced anywhere. Several of the most prevalent types are so-called straight whiskeys, that is, it must consist of 51 to 80 percent of a specific type of grain and must be stored in new charred oak barrels for at least two years.
Wine (from latin vinum) is an alcoholic beverage which is produced by the fermentation of grape juice. Grapes are grown from a vine called Vitis Vinifera. Wine made of other fruits or berries is called fruit wine. There are some thousand varieties of Vitis Vinifera, however only fifty are currently attracting attention. An even smaller number of these are distributed globally.
The most common mistake made by most people is to concentrate only on cognacs with designation XO and upwards. VS or VSOP is in other words not good enough. It is a pity because you may end up missing out. A well composed VS can be more complex and elegant than an uninspired XO. Besides how are you truly going to be able to appreciate an old cognac, if you do not know how the young cognacs taste?

Distribution of Codorniu Raventos brands moves back to Altia and the subsidiary Premium wines. Altia Corporation has reached an agreement with Codorniu Raventos to distribute their portfolio in the Norwegian Market. The portfolio includes: Codorniu, Delapierre, Vina Pomal, Raimat and Scala Dei. After a few years of residence with another importer, Codorniu now wanted to return to Altia.
